More than 300 movies and TV shows have been filmed in Wilmington, including “A Walk to Remember,” “Weekend at Bernie’s,” “Nights in Rodanthe,” “Cape Fear,” “Matlock,” “Dawson’s Creek” and “One Tree Hill.” Wilmington has been the home to many productions since the early 1980s, as EUE/Screen Gems Studios — the second largest TV and movie production studio located east of California — is located here. And we couldn’t be more proud!

It is not hard to see why either; food is the way to everyone’s heart if we are being honest, right?! And the area’s food scene is bursting with both flavor and diversity. Offering a full range of baccalaureate- and graduate-level programs, as well as doctoral degrees, UNCW is the perfect option for those looking to live in paradise while pursuing their dreams! Not to be outdone, Cape Fear Community College has offered affordable accessible quality education to our community for over 60 years! Not to mention Miller Motte College which offers career training and associates degrees in a number of exciting careers.
